I wanted something I could use to work standing up for some part of the day. I looked at other stand-alone products and they were either more expensive than I wanted to spend, or larger than my space allowed. While I use this laptop tray on a kitchen counter, I do have not tried its maximum height on a table or desk. It folds up easily when I need the counter space for something else..

I was pretty Dissappointed in this product. The included screws were not long enough to enter the plastic piece so it fell off immediately and the holes for the cup holder were drilled in the wrong spot. Pretty cheezy, not worth the money.
